Most of the robins in my yard quickly became indifferent to my drone within a few days of my flying it back there. But this one always seems to make it a point to come out when I'm back there practicing.

Far from being afraid, it occasionally comes closer than I feel comfortable with; and I have to back up the drone to avoid a potential collision. The robin also has several acres of grass to scour for worms, but it stays close by while I'm flying.

I really don't know whether birds have a concept of machines. I also don't know whether the robins have come to associate the drone with me (a known, harmless quantity), or if they consider it an odd-looking but friendly-enough bird that will keep other predators away.

It does seem that for whatever reason, this particular robin likes my drone. The rest basically yawn when they see it, but this one seems to enjoy the company.

I have barn swallows, when I'm out they follow. Never aggressive moves, more like, "lets see how good this bird is!"
I normally just hover for a few minutes, they laugh and move on
