3D Mapping with EVO?

A couple of limitations relating to the gimbal limits of each. All DJI cameras can tilt up to 30° above the horizon. EVO has no such capability, and is strictly limited to horizontal and below only, while the Anafi camera can also be tilted straight up, as needed, to 90° above horizontal. The latter is real benefit indoors flying underneath anything you need to examine, and outdoors flying under bridges that need inspection. The above video's opening scene with the Anafi, looking straight up at the ceiling from the floor, would be impossible with any other drone.

The EVO camera does indeed tilt up by quite a bit but only in relation to the fuselage while it is tilted forward during rapid acceleration or ludicrous flight. There may be a way (through a firmware mod) to gain control over the gimbal to force tilt up during level flight.

Possible, but the props will still get in the way. EVO already requires a 13° downtilt to keep props out of the frame in forward flight. DJI aircraft gimbals are designed to be able to tilt up 30° from the horizontal when the aircraft is already tipped well forward for 30 mph flight speed.
