Updating firmware.

I will. It might help someone else. I should probably contact an admin and get this moved to the Evo lite forum.

I was only able to get the drone to work with v1 53. Any higher version the drone would accept the update but would not bind..
I heard from Autel and they sent me a slightly different procedure for updating. They also sent me a link to the 2.0.19. I would assume if I send the drone in under warranty that is what they are going to install. I will try their procedure with the other firmware first.

Good News! Following the procedure below I was able to update to Firmware v1.9.9 Now I have to wait a couple of days for some good weather for a test flight or two. Many thanks to BobEvoLite for his help.

Thanks for your response and information.

Please kindly check the following steps to help you update the firmware via the SD card.
Here is the firmware package for you.EVO-Lite_FW_V2.0.19.zip

1. Format or empty the SD card and copy the firmware zip package to the SD card.
2. Start the aircraft and remote control to keep active, make sure the power of the aircraft and remote control is not less than 30%, and insert the SD card inside the aircraft card slot.
3. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot of the aircraft, the aircraft will start automatically, the aircraft arm light will flash alternately during the process, and stop flashing indicates that the upgrade is successful, the whole process takes 8-15 minutes, please wait patiently for the firmware upgrade to complete.
4. Remove the SD card after the upgrade.
5. Reboot the aircraft and remote control, and enter the APP to check the firmware version of the aircraft.

The procedural difference appears to make sure the RC is powered on

Glad you got it working. The Lite+ takes gorgeous pix and videos. To get longer hang time, turn off the collision avoidance system, of course - use discretion

I bought a tablet to use with my drones. I need to get the sky app installed on it. I downloaded the APK. I clicked it and it started the process. It went on for twenty minutes before I cancelled it. Am I doing this right?

I figured it out. Have to turn on the ability to install apps from other sources, either under security or apps.
