Triggering an external device on the Evo

I'd like to inspect some things on my property and need light. I'm wondering how i can trigger a light on/off from the ground station controller.

I don't want to void my warranty of course, and I know the Evo wasn't designed as a modular / hackable platform. But I will do it one way or another.

If all else fails, I'll mount a sensor behind the gimball and toggle the flashlight if the camera is moved to full down position.

Constructive suggestions welcome.

You could use the same type of light sensor they use on those bait drop units. The sensor is attached to the front LED's with tape and when you turn the LED's on or off it will trigger the clamp to open or close. You would have to rig something up but I don't think it is that hard.
