I just sent them an email asking if the mount allows the arm to be folded or if it needs to be removed each time. Does anyone know?

If I have to take it off every time I fold the arms that would be a deal breaker for me.

For the Evo 2 Pro, the 3d mount does not have to be removed in order the fold the arms when you mount it on the rear leg with TOP as labeled.
