Remote Control and Aircraft Disconnected!

It's not about cables but something else; I have changed from standard controller to smart controller and the problem still occurs. Only when I go back to an Android version and Aircraft software version of end of December 2021 that's when I can have the aircraft take off without a disconnection. Does it mean I will never have to update or I am just missing something. Also is there a sequence which must be followed as in switching on the remote control and aircraft; what comes first? If there is a sequence then I might have messed up then.
