Been flying RC planes since 75. A club member just passed and I ended up with his Autel X drone. Help.

Welcome to the Autel club. IMO other than FPV drones you will probably find them quite boring compared to RC craft unless you are into photography and or video.

I don't know much about your particular model other than that it's no longer in production and batteries will be impossible to find.
