New Evo II V3 Dual 640T Gimbal roll problem

Good evening, Gimbal cover was off in the hardcase on delivery. Batteries/Smart Controller charged, signed up/activated with Autel..

Gimbal not ready, do not fly. It will not calibrate through the smart controller settings and with the battery turned off, I can't manipulate the camera to roll level.

What to do?? Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Im having the same problem. Took the 640t to explore the menus and update if any new updates available and got the gimbal fail to initialize. Have image and it zooms well but dont move . Tried a calibration and it does not calibrates and at the end of the calibration process it move to all places and again the fail to calibrate msge. Drone only have one 20 min flight q 2 weeks on my hands

Yah... good luck to you both, John Juen, so called Service manager at Autel WA told me it was OK when I showed it to him when i bought the drone, nine months later, they tried to charge me $3600 for a new gimbal/camera assembly stating that it had a bad roll motor, and it's failure was inevitable when the drone went in for a software glitch..

And I have the email to prove it, but it's like beating a dead horse, I've moved on and went back to DJI

When you do reach that point, and you start arguing with them, just mention that they are trying the same tactics they did with Dimitrios from New York.. (me)

Needless to say after three months of back-and-forth BS, they sent me the drone back unrepaired with the same software glitches, and it has become a paperweight, unsafe to fly because I fly for the fire department

Found the problem! Two of the 4 screws on tve camera were loose making the camera to get stucked on the gimball. Adjusted the screws tight and voila the gimball works and calibrated as it should be!!!
