NASA BRINGS VOYAGER 2 FULLY BACK ONLINE, 11.5 BILLION MILES FROM EARTH

Tried to get the EVO up there to do a couple of orbits round it. My Open Sky app said nope!

Geeeez, I remember when they launched. I think (?) they were the 1st spacecraft w/plutonium reactors (due to the length of the missions). If the launch went bad, it posed a huge radiation issue. The quarantined launch viewing area was much, much bigger, and 100’s of fingers & toes were crossed at NASA & USAF...

The reactors are down to 60% capacity, so Voyager’s got some life left if they manage the power carefully. It’s hard to believe a command takes 17 hrs to reach it!

Houston was getting a signal in June 69 as they landed on the moon. I break into a sweat when i see the weak signal message at the one mile point.?
