Hello!

I am a happy Evo Lite+ owner, but am looking at the nano+ mainly because of the RYYB color filter array. For you Nano+ owners: did the RYYB capabilities live up to the reviews (or the hype)? My Lite+ doesn't have RYYB and I'm super curious how it looks compared to all the other drones I have used. I've read many instances where the video quality is excellent on this drone.

Anyways, any thoughts, opinions, or insight from those that have bought and used the Nano+ enough to have a strong opinion is very appreciated!

Thanks!

If you want to have the best camera in [mini] class, the Nano +is the way to go period.
Note your Lite+ also have a amazing camera that films in up to 6K. The Nano+ don't

Downsides are:
- Battery life not that good, just buy 1 or 2 extra batteries and you are fine.
- Basic functions, but nothing more.

Did you know the Lite has the same RYYB camera as the Nano+ ?

Hi and thank you for the response!

I did notice the Lite (NOT the Lite+) has RYYB camera. Everything points to the RYYB camera to me for some reason.... Battery life is truly amazing on my Lite+....but, I'll be honest, outside of night time photography, I'm only "ok" by the video quality of the Lite+, as compared to my DJI Air 2s drone. Was hoping the Nano+ would be that much better of a camera with RYYB - I'm getting the idea I'd just have to try it out.

PS: Autel has been a good company to deal with after my purchase. I know I'm going against the grain (it seems like) around here to say that, but they've been very helpful, responded quickly, and were very knowledgeable.

I have two Nano+ drones and I have had great experiences with them. They can be a bit scary in high winds so I don't fly them in those conditions. I crashed one and sent it back to Autel for repair and they sent back a new one within ten days. No complaints about their service.

My EVO II Pro 6K just celebrated its 4th birthday (Father's Day gift to myself 2020), and I bought it then because the consensus of the reviews I read clearly put the video quality of that unit above the best DJI could offer then. I was particularly interested in its 10-bit video capabilities, but in order to leverage it, you must shoot in the Log profile (among other things). So I don't shoot much video with it in 'standard' mode, but every so often yes...

I added the Nano+ to my arsenal last year for specific situations (interior real estate, lightweight travel, etc.) and figured I would be happy with the 8-bit "quick and dirty" video.

Well I can say without hesitation, happy doesn't describe it... overjoyed gets closer. More often than not, I am startled by the video that I offload from this unit, it's that good. I haven't attempted to do any apples-to-apples comparison between it and my EVO II Pro's video straight out of the camera in standard mode, but subjectively I can say without question it stands up to it easily in every way. Of course it has about a three year advantage in technology advancements, and it shows.

I hope this helps.

tvwxman and ethelsnakes,

Thanks so much for the response! That's the thing.... there are so many things I like about Autel and (since I already have the DJI Mini 2), I wanted to see if the Nano+ would be a better option compared to the DJI mini 3 / 4 pro. I've heard many Mini 3 and 4 pro owners say the video is a big step down on those drones compared to the Air 3 or the Air 2s (I own the Air 2s) and also compared the the Mavic 3. I'm thinking the Nano+ might be right one for me.

Sure thing and good luck with your decision... sorry for the typo above, it was supposed to say, "three YEAR advantage".

Love my N+, purchased for price and image quality vs DJI.
I do wish the s/w was uodated to equal the many great DJI features.

I have two of the Nano+ drones. I love their video quality. I don't use them for anything fancy like following me, just straight up flying for videos and photos but mostly video.
