It's actually an incredibly detailed map that when fully zoomed in shows individual properties, footpaths, ski lifts etc etc. so is a great resource for any kind of holiday.
On the right-hand side, click the spanner icon and then select "Afficher des coordonnées" ... Now when you move your mouse over the map it will show you not only the Lat/Long but also the altitude of any point! Might be good for planning way point missions if you are in France as some of our members are.

Yes very good source of information, but it is not infuse science (like any good card). Area where one can fly but which should not or which would be limited in altitude, outline of the cities or random hamlets, other zones carrefully prohibited but which have no place to be there like closed aerodrome, ULM bases having closed since long or even never existed.
Although many times these errors reported, they do not make corrections.
In short, a card that seems to have been painted by a kindergarten class.
For the one who wants to prepare things with much more serious works with the map of Mach7Drone which is connected to avionics information.
Mach7.JPG Mach 7 and Website general : Mach7
We know if in this or that area, the flight is impossible, possible and / or possible at certain times of the day or the week following the military activities.
For example, such a corridor or aerial area will be permanently prohibited by Geoportal, but Mach7 will tell you if you can fly such hours at such time and which day and the ceiling altitude at which you will be limited.
A lot of zone Setba and others are active in the morning or x h. at xx hour (UTC)
In the following example, I am in a Setba air corridor. Geo will tell me no or permanent ceiling of 50m. If you consult Mach7, Altitude limited to 50 m. during activation (Mo, Ma, Thu, Tue, Fri from 6h to 16h30 UTC) and outside You can climb a 150m.
That's all, if you want to make a serious preparation.
Setba.JPG
Framed in red, it indicates the current limit at the altitude of the flight that you must not exceed. Outside the niche, it will be 150m.

Yikes, daily periodic closures or flight allowances of airspace! What a nightmare that would be to keep track of. And even if you do comply, your particular filming mission may not have the same timing schedule as the airspace restrictions. Add to that the changing amount of daylight from summer to winter and even Mother Nature will add her own additional restrictions to an already small window of opportunity. I hope FAA never considers this approach. Yeah right, in my wildest dreams. Get ready! HA.
