I've had my Autel 2 for a few months now and it has worked perfectly every time. But I got to thinking about the extra propeller blades I bought. What signs should I be on the lookout for when to replace them?

I also got to thinking about malfunctions today. If something went wrong with one propeller blade or one of the motors suddenly failed, is the unit generally able to compensate for this and return back home?

Just trying to think ahead so I get many years of good use out of my drone!

No, normal quadcopters cannot recover if one motor fails. That will be a crash. However, if propeller partially fails copter may be able to fly, depending on on the prop's condition. There are videos on youtube of drones flying with blades cut in half.

When to replace... if you see the cracks, or shape change, or strong vibration, or damage after crash. Prop's are glass fiber, thus cracks will not spread fast. Props may even survive minor crashes. Still better replace em.
