Has anyone else lost the Night Mode function with the new firmware update V1.8.2.237? I first noticed this when the night mode icon on the menu was ghosted. Tried it outside one evening and sure enough, it' not working and was before the update. This is one of the main reasons of having the 4T.

62 views and nobody else has this problem also???
I haven't seen anyone else mention this. I've heard of someone losing their "Stealth" mode because they are in the EU. That option was removed without warning.

Maybe something just died on my r/c. I am consulting with support for a answer. All I know is, it was working before the upgrade.

I have been working on this problem and another that is not working right. As long as I could not get the night mode to work I was working with the map mode. I have a another post about that and I should consolidate it too one beings it looking like their connected with issues. While working the mapping program, all at once a screen I needed up, was gone. Working on it for hours and it used to work in the Mission setup but now it did not want to. The Polygon does. I thought I was reading someplace that they took the Mission rectangle setup out and use just the Polygon now. I need to find that again. So after a while I finally gave up and did a reset incase all my trying to get things working messed up something. After the reset and getting my setting plugged back in, the Night mode could be turned on again. Go figure. Have not heard back from support as to why I could not turn the function on. More testing today with the mapping. Suppose it could be a buggy R/C.

I’m guessing you already tried to manually update with the micro sad card and usb drive?

Actually no. You mean reinstall it over the latest version?

Yes, reinstall it over the existing one, even if the version is reading as current.

Then I would contact support and they will be able to provide the link for the manual update on the drone too. More than likely it’s just RC file you need anyways though.

The new firmware version has been released for the EVO Max series on August 5th.
Aircraft: V1.8.2.237
Remote Controller: V1.8.2.237
APP: V2.1.119

If the Remote Controller (RC) version is not V1.8.2.237 after updating via OTA, please manually update using the RC firmware provided below.

[Where to download the V1.8.2.237 RC firmware]:

Click here to download the firmware

[How to update Remote Controller by USB drive/card reader]:

Click here to check the video guidance

1. Format a USB drive and copy the "RC79.uav" file into it. (FAT32 or exFAT Format.)
2. Turn on Remote Controller (RC) and wait for 1 minute and then insert USB drive.
3. Click "Confirm" to enter the upgrade interface, and then click "Update All".
4. Wait for the progress bar to 100%. Restart the RC and check the firmware table in Settings.
5. If the upgrade fails, unplug the USB drive, restart RC, and upgrade again.

I did the reinstall over the same version and nothing has changed. I am going back and forth with Autel but this person is in sales and they only know where the on button is.

Have you tried calling enterprise support yet? Every once in a while they like to amswer. 😂😂

Today was a better day. I finally just did a reset and now the Night Mode is working again. I would of thought the reinstall the software would of fix that. So I can go back out tonight and see if it really work. Thanks to all. Only one more problem to fix that's on another post.

I need to test that to see if it stops at that 2.7 zoom.

Hello all. I'm new to the Autel world and finding it difficult to get good information on a number of things. I have read and re-read the operating manual and checked as many official and unofficial sources as possible. I, too, have the issue with accessing night mode. I just purchased the EVO Max 4T and updated everything to the latest firmware.

One thing that I find strange is that I never see anything on the controller about the Wide camera. I only see Zoom as an option. Since Night Mode is stated to be associated with the Wide camera, maybe that's the issue.

Last night, I was able to get a sort of hybrid night mode along with Fusion, but this morning, neither worked (both are greyed out). And, BTW, I can find almost nothing on Fusion. Perhaps that's new with the latest firmware update? Baron, can I ask what exactly it was that you reset to get night mode to work?

Attached screenshot shows greyed out Night Mode and Fusion.

One more bit of information. After posting this, I managed to switch on Fusion again. I really don't know what I did differently to get there this time and last night, but I could not access it earlier this morning.

When I switch on fusion, which appears to be some sort of hybrid with the IR (?), then I can switch to night mode, but this is not the same as the night mode that I have seen on any of the YouTube videos that highlight the feature.

When I did the reset, I did it to the R/C only. I didn't think that would fix it but it did. I must of had another setting that was working with it that I could not find. From what I see, the nite mode is nothing like we are seeing with the 4N payload. That is outstandingly good. We are coming up on a full moon, so I am going out to see how that will work. I'm not sure what you mean by the "Fusion" comment. I will need to check the manual again.

I just checked and there is no Fusion icon under the Images drop down for the 4T on the controller.

I just reached out to Autel about Fusion on the 4T and this was there responds. "This issue is currently under discussion with our R&D department, and we will keep you updated as soon as we have more information."
