I have been wanting one for a long time but have always put it off. As they have become common and price seems to be coming down what would be a good middle of the road one to get without breaking the bank? Something larger than a mini printer is what I am looking for but under a $1000 bucks :)

My son runs an electronics lab for a university I will see if he has some suggestions. This is a dice roller he printed. They print some amazing things now days.

He said he likes Makerbot. He says good simple machines. He says he is looking at the model that is 24" x 24" x 24" That would be a huge print probably take a week to do.

Our local library has a 3d printer setup for citizens...Ive been meaning to look into it....
Id like to make a gimbal plate/mount for the Flying Pumpkin, so I can drop fishing lures
into the lake further than I can cast, 300ft vs 30ft......check them out for model and software...

I used one of those in my back yard. I was dam lucky it never got tangled in the props. Big time WTF when it went to release. My first test and almost did in my x-star.
Never again. I will go to the fish market before I risk a 1000 buck plus quad here in Canada :)

Our company does a ton of 3d printing, unfortunately our printers are 800,000. Resin is 1000 a gallon. We also do metal sintering now . Super toxic , you must wear a mask to keep from inhaling the powder.
