Here's a 2 min video I threw together to try to explain to non-residents the remote Lava Zone One area. It's had lava flowing in some fashion for 30+ years. Similar to the 1990 Kalapana event, the 2018 event has been sensationalized by news reports. About 15 sq. mi are affected out of a 4028 sq. mi. (and growing) island. Only the folks who CHOOSE to live on this hot spot place are in danger...
