Hi guys, I've got a little job low level roof survey to do, but they live in near a rural airport runway. Normally I'd use the DJI I've got, but I like using Nano+ when DJI will require a lock code. Can anyone tell me ahead of time, do I I now need to also unlock a FRZ or airport to be able to fly my Autel drone? Thanks.

Thanks, so it's essentially identical to the DJI set up? Unless you've got an older Autel - perhaps an Autel Evo II would not run the geofence system?
I'm not sure how it works on autel, but the option to unlock is there. Maybe it's less restrictive than DJI or doesn't work, I dunno. But I do know that on DJI drones(except the new ones) you can disable nfz all together, Google drone hacks

If flying low enough for roof work and VLOS and Class G airspace then you should be fine. Only airports located in Class A, B, C, D, & E2 controlled airspace require LAANC authorizations to operate near or around
