Inhibit Alets from Emailing me

I have tried to eliminate emails from coming to my email while continuing to have the alerts appear at the header alert flag when I log in, but the freaking emails still come. How can I stop them?

I think you can uncheck "watch this thread" when you post. If you didn't do that you can go to your previous posts, click edit, then "more options" then uncheck the box below the text box.

Thanks, Apparently editing my preferences to suppress emails worked for all threads I initiated or replied to after I made those modifications to my notification preferences, but was unfortunately embedded in the first post of every thread I participated in prior. Think I was able to edit them all to correct it.

Thank you for your help, that was annoying as hell & I never would have gotten rid of it without your help!
