I pad vs Iphone

I plugged my Evo controller into my Ipad thinking I would have a much larger image to look at while flying, but the image is the same size as my Iphone. Is there a setting to change this?

No. The app was designed for iphone and the ipad recognizes this, therefore adjusts accordingly.
