For Those of You That Took the Part 107 Test

For those of you who took the time to take this test and get your UAS lisence. I would like to know if you have any regrets? Also, was it worth it? Have you made any money with your quad since having your lisence?

If so, how did you go about finding work with your drone, and how did you decide how much money to charge for your services?

I got my P107 before I got my autel and it opened doors thru my existing work. Because I was legal to fly commercially and had my own drone, I was asked to take some initial photos and video, which sold management on the idea so much so they got me a Phantom 4 Pro and started finding missions for me to fly.
I tried moonlighting with my Autel and it was a losing proposition. I posted my services on craigslist, and it was cutthroat trying to compete for roof jobs and such. I tried online sites like Upsonder and DroneBase and could not make a dime....

So, my point is, YES, get the 107....and keep flying for the joy of it. Try to apply Flying to your current position, or use it for a job in the future. The certification will give you an edge if not in your current position, then perhaps at your next interview it will be what sets you apart from other applicants.
