Today I tested the range of my evo 2 pro against the range of my mavic 2 pro. From the same spot where my mavic 2 pro could fly for 950 meters my evo 2 pro could only reach 220 meters . If anyone from autel stuff could please respond to this and help me out I would really be grateful.

We are not affiliated with Autel. We can answer most questions and
provide solutions to most problems, but ultimately, we may have to
refer you to Autel for a resolution.
Try calling or emailing Autel support

I will email support but I also want to share my experience . I know the forum and autel are not affilited ;) but I thought there were members who are autel employees here ?

Nope, one or two used to stop by but they where either fired or quit the company. That was about 3 years ago. I think they are told not to comment on any platform they cannot control.

The 220 meters are definitely too low. Is your E2P the FCC or CE Version? Was it in an urban environment or out in the fields? Even the 950 meters of the M2P would be pretty low when you're not in an area with heavy disturbances.

Yes it is an urban area , my evo 2 was brought over from US but as far a s I know it switches from fcc to ce depending on gps.

Well, mine has at least a CE sign and i use it in Europe, so my range should be a bit shorter that the FCC Version. Still, as long as my antennas are out (Yeah, i forgot that more than once), i can easily do 500-600 meters in a busy area - i didn't try more yet because my insurance only kicks in next week. Did your E2P return home or only nag about a weak signal? Mine does the latter sometimes...

It is returning home mostly

This at another location and well u can see the distance the rth happens in the vid yourself :D

sorry forgot to post the vid link . And yes my evo 2 has the update actually done it twice as I mentioned in the update topic

This is really weird. It could be the 2.4 GHz band is really screwed up in that area. The M2P can use 5.7, the Evo can't. With 5.7 the range is shorter than 2.4, but in urban areas 5.7 is usually the better choice because you have less disturbances. Still... 200 meters are way too low.

If you wafch the vid I posted 220 meters is really short compared to 950 :D but if you watch the vid I posted you will notice signal loss in a much shorter distance

How did you orientate the antennas?
Did you know that on EVO the best solution is to point the antennas of the radio control downwards, to form a 90 ° angle so that the flat part of the antenna is facing the drone?

for the pics credits goes to Claudius

Yes been doing that but well it crash landed 40 mins ago as rc and drone refused to reconnect after a disconnection . After returning home and howering it drone and rc did not reconnect no matter what I did and I could not catch it and it crash landed from 5 meters . There is a new topic I poster with the video of deone and remote not connecting and aftermath

I was waiting for it to reconnect it disconnected and stayed that way
