End users cannot "categorize" the kinetic energy class. While it might be fun to know, the manufacturers must do this.

The way I read the FAA's "Executive Summary", the OOP provisions don't come into play until Remote ID is available; but maybe the "over vehicles" (not sustained travel) do actually take effect. But the key is the category -- and that has to be certified my the manufacturer, it seems. Will EVO II...

you might want to check out this calculator to do the math for you (Drone Kinetic Energy Calculator for Multi-Rotors (Velocity, Time, & Foot-Pounds) ) , but if a DJI Mini 2 reaches 11 ft/lbs after falling from only 20 ft........a quicker conclusion might be: no professional photographer's equipment under anything like realistic operating conditions falls within the allowable limits.
