Sorry if this seems like a stupid question or has already been answered.

Is there a way for the camera to take photos on a continuous basis, say ever 10 seconds, for the duration of the flight?

Yes, time lapse photos. It will take a pic at the following intervals 5/7/10/20/30 seconds
