Button in Pro Case

Does anyone knows what the button does on the Pro Case?

Some hard cases that can seal shut have a pressure release / pressure equalizer button. Guessing thats what it is

Yes, unscrew a bit to remove pressure.

I was on a job with my camera and steady rig. Left them in the trunk on a warm day. The case was seemlingly sealed shut. Turned the screw a bit...opened right up

Do these hard cases shield the interior components from outside extreme heat?
