battery not discharging

I am thorn between sending it or not as this issue maybe hiding something else. Wonering What Roswell47 did?
 
I coworker of mine specialist with ebike and drone flyer told me its probably the battery managment system and cannot be firmware or app repaired
 
Hi,

i have an update so to speak, but not much of a solution. After not receiving anything from support, I wrote to "autelpilot" from where I bought the drone. They was so kind to answer, but as expected did not deliver a solution. In fact it was a bit fun communication. At first i explained what the problem is and in response they told me that not fully undarstand what i'm tolking about. They asked me for some clarification and, if i can to send some screanshot. In response i gave my best to explane how the BMS should work and what exactly not working. Now the funny part, they responded to me that, this is perfectly normal and that the self-discharge function is trigered at high temperature environment and as whole the trigering of the self-discharge is a so-so situation and not to worry too much about. In responce i send them a screenshot from the manual, which obviusly they did't read very carefully, where is exactly written how it works. In short, I explained i do not have a warranty claim or so, but to rise attention on that issue. I'm aware that is pointless, but any way. In the final response i received assurance, quotes "We have forwarded your suggestions to my engineers and hope to effectively address this issue in future firmware updates"

So time will tell. I hope to see it working after next update.

To be honest support was fast to response and nice, the only thing was they wanted me to pay for shipping and handle all the duty paperworks. After a few email they finally sais they will pay. Like i said before its probably a bms thing that cannot be solved by firmware. i am waiting for the shipping tag from Autel
 
yes, i had same experience with the suport. Super quick, super responsive, super nice - nothing to complain, really. The only things that bothered me are the shipping back/duty costs. In the end the issue is not a major one, so will live with it.

@DANJ4 shall You decide to sending in drone, please let us know the outcome. If the replacement unit was free from this bug. Thanks
 
I will keep you updated, still on the fence about sending my drone, will make sure with customer service that something will be done free of charge before sending it.

Just a suggestion, if you decide to send the drone, write down the serial numbers of all the components and the batterie's, as well as the firmware versions. After the repair, finger crossed to be successful, you can check, if they replaced some component or firmware.

Hi,

Well they just email me that since i am not in the U.S i have to pay for the shipping. Gee so poor service, I have answer them ....well not nicely will see
