Battery life V2 Smart Controller?

The Autel PDF for starting up the Enterprise Drone show a Full sized USB cable attached to the right side USB port on the V2 controller? I am only able to charge via the mini USB center port and only get a 50% charge. Is there a special USB charger cable that I require. I have used the 65 Watt AC adapter and the 70 watt flight battery chargers without any change? Does the V2 controller have a software update to address this?
