Autel Evo Max 4t XEšŸ˜”

So, so sad Autel. This just takes the cake. If you have kept up with any part of my story with my 4T you will know the hell that Autel has put me through. Again, loved the drone…even above the M30T by yes…DJI. But….it so ends there once there is an issue. So after a few months, Autel finally gave up running me around as I had the Better Business Bureau on the case for me also. I did get a, what appeared to be a brand new 4t XE rugged bundle. Of course it’s a bit subpar to the 4t, but it’s a fresh start. I didnt even unbox it and wanted to sell it immediately to get the best money for it unopened. Well, apparently people are paying attention because I didnt even get a bite at almost any price. So, I get an inkling to test this new ride out. Couldn’t help myself. Put it up, and it felt great. I was like a kid on Xmas day. My joy had returned kind of…until a warning came up. ā€œentering low consumption mode, and the thermal camera is turned offā€. Ok, wow, new feature, battery was a bit low so I get it. Take it home and today, a few days later put a fresh battery in…SAME WARNING. Ok, there is something new im not aware of they have added. Can’t find it anywhere though. So, me and my good friends get back in touch…autel personnel, tech support. I ask calmly what that was all about, and wouldn’t you know they give me the, that’s a bug they are looking to put out a firmware update for, should be out maybe in the next ew weeks hopefully but for sure the end of next month. What in the heck is going on at Autel. I JUST DONT GET IT. So, here I am again, going to be waiting another few months for this miraculous firmware update that will fix this issue….and mess up four more things with this new and improved drone. Please people, weigh your options on this one. If you can get this thing cheap, go for it. Or if you even have someone local that knows the ins and outs and can repair them. Go for it. Otherwise, stay the hell away. If you are going to pay the tariff prices, get the DJI for your minds sake.

I feel your pain 100%. 10K down the drain essentially for me. I have been a DJI guy for a decade, but bought the hype, hoping to add thermal roof imaging and reporting to my business but am unable to process any spot temp notes. Weeks of searching the internet and dealing with CS have been fruitless. Soooooo disappointed.

Im still battling them.
Not worth the hassle.
I hope we save others from losing time,money and aggravation!

So. Looking at your sale ad, how much would be cheap?
I think i lowered it to $6500 with three new batteries instead of just the one the rugged bundle comes with. I have so many extras available to sell with it but needed to start somewhere.

Aside from the fixed wing, in my opinion, there isn’t a reason to buy a NEW Autel drone. Their tech is old and the prices are high compared to their competition.

I wanted a brand new battery. They still want $219 for one. They can NOT guarantee that the battery is from 2025 nor is there any discount.

I decided to put that $219 towards a brand new drone.

Brother,I'm a warrior who fought and endured much like you have. Mine started 11/23... I finally got a surprise new Xe rugged bundle....I haven't put it up in the air yet. But I did power it up on my porch with no props,to see the camera and 3 minutes on I see that message and thermal a screen was frozen.
Such a bummer.

You hope that you save others from losing time, money, and aggravation by selling your messed up drone to a new person without disclosing anything that you mentioned here! In your classified ad you talk about how happy you are with the product and you expressly say that you choose it over DJI! I cannot even believe you sit here and mention how they misled you, good they should have misled you because that's exactly what you're doing you got what you deserve karma buddy

No worries.just sharing my true information.
If you got triggered. So be it. I sent it back to Autel with a nice letter stating the facts. They sent me back A new XE.

For The curious of you are seriously interested in knowing truth. I'm an optimistic person with some Patience and tolerance. I was forced to resort to legal measures to gain some attention towards resolving my experience with the 1st edition Evo Max 4T.
Autel did what should have been done in the beginning. I received a brand new Evo Max 4T XE. So after hours upon hours of correspondence and researching weather my experience was isolated or common. I discovered several who had fly aways. I now have a tracking device that will be mounted to my Evo Max 4T Everytime I fly, just in case it happens again.
I do all preflight checks. Regular calibrations and visual inspections prior to flights. So I am about to start a new journey with this unit. I hope for the best as I've got all the accessories offered. With 6 batteries 2 rc controllers.
Let's all hope that Autel improves on the after sales support and we will all be beneficiaries.
