Airplane mode on phone or off when flying

Should I turn on airplane mode on when I fly this drone.And what’s the purpose.of doing it or not doing it .

Any drone I know of, cell off, wifi off. Or airplane mode On, wifi off.

I just go "Do Not Disturb" mode on an iPhone or iPad. It will silence calls and notifications while keeping your cellular available for maps and gps. So they say...lol

Hasn't failed me yet so far. I do turn off wi-fi and bluetooth also.

Cellular can interfere with the controller to drone link, depends on the drone. makes a big difference with my Parrot Anafi, I get up to 50% more range in Airplane mode...wifi and bluetooth always off.
