Question I asked : As a part 107 Certificated pilot, when I have a drone up in the air and am operating my drone for hire are there any FAR/FAA protections/rules against someone interfering with me ( harassing me) while i am in control of my aircraft as PIC. In other words interfering with a flight crew member?

The response :
Thank you for contacting the FAA's Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Support Center.

The current 14 CFR Part 107 does not address this. The existing FAR, 49 U.S. Code § 46504.Interference with flight crew members and attendants, applies to "on an aircraft."

Yup and that is the reason they will never prosecute anybody for shooting down your UAV in Federal court. Your only avenue is small claims court and that is not always a sure thing. Some have lost cases in small claims court.
The FAA just wants to regulate them and turns a blind eye to everything else.

The current FAA wording would also allow an LEO to order you to take your hands off the sticks, and hand him the controller! You can't claim immunity based upon prohibited FAA interference with a PIC unless you are on the aircraft!
