Maybe the problem is on the controller side? I'd try blowing some air around the control wheel, and maybe check the settings to make sure there's not some wacky value in the gimbal settings.

Well, it took me three tries to get a successful manual update, but I just took it out for a couple of flights, and so far so good. No trouble connecting or staying connected. Hopefully this will take care of it for good! Thanks again!

I have the M2EA and I've used it for roof inspections. It works well, but the IR images are not compatible with Flir tools, so if you need precise, reliable measurements you might want to avoid the M2EA.

I followed this tutorial: TLDR; the trick is to edit the canvas size (not the image size) to add enough space at the top so that it becomes 2:1, then fill in the empty pixels with gradient/cloned sky/etc.
