Any news on the thermal camera?

Yeah, I wish there was a camera for under $1000 that was of a better quality. Wishful thinking though... How did the Typhoon G work out for you? And that's a cool video, you can make out the rabbits pretty clearly. One of the things I'm thinking of doing with it is animal search and rescue

Any news on the thermal camera?

    Cross my fingers then

Any news on the thermal camera?

Is there any hope that we'll ever see the Flir Duo become compatible? Anyone have the inside scoop here? Otherwise I'm (probably) gonna try this: Thermal Imaging for your Drone on a Budget I'm willing to wait quite a bit longer for the Flir Duo to become compatible, but it would still be nice...

Let's compile all of our knowledge into one place of how to create orthomosaic maps with an XSP

Now THAT is what I am talking about! You deserve a gold medal for this test and putting this together. Seriously. Really impressive stuff. I am going to give your instructions a go and see if I can replicate it to the quality level that you did for your test (I suspect so, those instructions...

Let's compile all of our knowledge into one place of how to create orthomosaic maps with an XSP

That is some cool stuff. I can think of so many use case for 3D modeling it's not even funny. Especially for my job currently.

Let's compile all of our knowledge into one place of how to create orthomosaic maps with an XSP

Looking forward to it. No pressure lol! The XSP has a pretty remarkable camera for a device that is only $650. I showed my boss some of the aerial imagery that I took with it and she was blown away, so I didn't have to do much convincing to make flying it a part of my job. Despite not having a...

Let's compile all of our knowledge into one place of how to create orthomosaic maps with an XSP

Currently reading through it. Interesting stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the XSP already has embedded geotags? I think that the XSP is a step ahead of the Yuneec already for mapping

Let's compile all of our knowledge into one place of how to create orthomosaic maps with an XSP

Information like what is in this thread: https://autelxpilots.com/threads/3d-mapping-apps.444/ I bought a refurbished XSP about a month or so ago and I am extremely satisfied with it. Awesome flying pumpkin! I'm actually going to be using it on my job so a repository of how to make high quality...

Anybody Ever See This Page Before?

Interesting investigation you've done. That does seem more than just a coincidence (what are the chances that two people working in a similar role for both companies would have the same exact name?). Good things certainly could come of this.

Anybody Ever See This Page Before?

Autel Robotics Drone Flight Planner App I found this page with a Google search. Really similar to the one you posted but with some different info. "The prototype was completed in Axure, tested and iterated in multiple rounds with several potential users, and presented to a strongly positive...

Is the X-Star Premium a suitable drone for aerial imagery/orthomosaic maps/GIS?

So I've made a decision to buy the Autel XSP and here's my reasoning why: 1. The XSP doesn't have restrictions on where you can fly it. Some of the work I'll be doing will be within 5 miles of (small) airports and this would be a HUGE problem if I got a DJI drone and their restrictions don't...

Is the X-Star Premium a suitable drone for aerial imagery/orthomosaic maps/GIS?

I'm really interested in this too. RAPID – New Release of the Free Imaging Processing Application, August 31, 2017 | Drone Mapper Imagery Processing Sounds like you need Windows 10 and that any drone that can capture imagery will work with it.

Is the X-Star Premium a suitable drone for aerial imagery/orthomosaic maps/GIS?

It says on their website (on the bottom in the black stripe) that it works with data from all drones, including Autel. And then it says that you must provide images plus telemetry data (which I'm assuming is what is included as the metadata for each image). So my initial reaction is to say yeah...

Is the X-Star Premium a suitable drone for aerial imagery/orthomosaic maps/GIS?

Thanks for this in depth post, I really needed this. That's good that you clarified what object avoidance actually does. "For starters, you wont go wrong with either one, but I think you would LIKE the Autel better to fly and take pictures/video montages, but you would LOVE the DJI P3Pro or...
