    EVO-II's "open window" of opportunity.

I'm not as optimistic that DJI is going to sleep on the EVO-II Pro. I dont think that DJI likes Autel out there playing in DJI's sandbox. I strongly believe that the $2,000 folding drone market space is significant for DJI. I just have to believe it's profitable for them and that DJI will need...

    EVO-II's "open window" of opportunity.

Facinating! So you don't see DJI making a Mavic-3 Pro? At all? I have to believe that the Mavic Pro series has been a successful profitable one. Why would DJI not think a version 3 would continue that? You expect Autel to operate "alone" (mostly) in the future inside this $2,000 folding...

    How’s the flight?

I tend to think that smooth yaw movements are more to do with Autel and DJI's "data buffering" then stick length. Early Phantom's were terrible. The original Mavic was not great. The Inspire 1 was not great. The Phantom Pro-II still had yaw shift issues against it's compass data.. The Air 1, Air...

    EVO-II's "open window" of opportunity.

Without having my EVO-II Pro yet, I "believe" it has the best imaging system on a folding drone today. (At least as far as the HARDWARE is concerned) We know DJI blew it with their Mavic-II Pro using an IMX183...but NOT using it's full Sony readout modes. It either did a 4k partial-read "high...

Resolved-FIxed in latest Firmware-Letter from EVO support confirms 10 bit log at 4k.....12 bit RAW stills

I was told today by Autel phone support that the EVO-II Pro WILL support 10bit color...but ONLY in Log recording. All other non-log or rec709 gammas will be 8bit. Hmmmm...OK

Just curious, if the EVO 2 6k came out first would you have waited for the 8k to come out.

The one to get is the "6k" with 1 inch-type sensor. It is BY FAR the better imaging system. The "8k" IMX586 image sensor is NOT a "true" 48mp sensor. Because it's a quad Bayer sensor, it actually has a color filter that is only 12mp. So, you have 48 million photosites that sit under only 12...

    EVO-II PRO Camera/CODEC specs?

Hi folks, I'm a "DJI-guy" but I have my first Autel drone on pre-order (Evo-II Pro) and I'm excited about it. Looking to find some specs as I wait for this to ship. I'm interested in these camera and software specs. Does anybody know? CODEC: - 100mbps and 120mbps are stated. Do they both...

8K vs 6K Camera: Is 1 inch sensor worth the extra cost?

The 1inch-type sensor is the camera you want. That Sony IMX383 is "the" most cutting edge 1 inch-type sensor on planet Earth today! It's a fully stacked BSI chip with a very fast data throughput. You will get full width 5.5k pixel readout and 5.5k video resolution, not the pixel binned, sub...
