WI-Fi Hotspot

I am a Verizon customer. I understand that they permit use of a Hot-Spot Setup using a Cell-Phone coupled to a Tablet so as to enable FPV without the need to register and pay for a 2nd additional device on ones account.

Is anyone using this type configuration with Verizon and/or another provider? If so, is there any lag,delay downside with the video using this method?
