Im planning to fly the Evo over Mosquito lagoon. I have like 8 way points established.
I would like to fly the route at different altitudes because the possible obstacles on the way.
the route is like S 1....2....3....4...5...6....7....E meaning waypoints from start to finish.
To edit the altitude I go to waypoint 1 and i set the altitude to, let's say 100ft What does that mean? The altitude beteen S and 1 is going to be 100ft or the altitude between 1 and 2 ? How do I set the altitude between start and take off location? Same question about E and home

What altitude do you put at the starting point "S"?
At point 1: 100 and then?
At the final point, do you want to finish as at the starting point "S"?

By default the Mission sets the altidude at 197 ft.
From start the first waypoint would be the minimum altitude you could set of 98 ft.
You could adjust each waypoint to what ever you want.
When it gets to the last waypoint, it will do what ever your command is (Hoover, GoHome,Landing,Returnto1stPoint) and do so.
Here is one of my first test flights around our house.
From our backyard to the road at the top we have an elevation rise of about 45ft.
Trees at our back property line are about 85 ft tall.
I set the waypoint heights at the following
S 98' 2 98' 3 110' 4 115' 5 120' 6 125' 7 130' 8 120' 9-11 98'
Flight description after the photo:

S started EVO and took off and rose to about 12 feet, Opened mission and started flight mission.
Evo rose to 98 feet and turned to face point 2.
I adjusted camera angle downward and it flew to point 2.
Evo stopped and turned to face Point 3.
Paused and rose to 110' and flew to point 4.
Paused and rose to 115' turned and flew to Point 5.
Paused rose then turned to point 6 and flew to point 6.
At point 6 it paused, rose to 125', turned and flew to point 7.
At point 7 it paused rose to 130' turned and flew to point 8.
At point 8 it paused, dropped to 120', turned and flew to point 9.
At 9 it paused, lowered to 98' and did the same to point 11.
After point 11 it flew to my home point (Takeoff Point) paused and turned so the back of the EVO was facing me and it landed on my takeoff pad.
Mission complerted.
I have the video but have not uploaded to youtube.
I Also want to add that as the EVO approached it next waypoint it slowed down before pausing, very smooth and not jerky.
I know its long, but I hope this helps !

These are the type of route models that the EVOs will do
The Evo 1 loves going up and down stairs, but it's tiring.
This is why the Evo 2 has chosen to tire less ............

Another great diagram Claudius !
I was just making a diagram like your EVO1 above to go with my thread above.
You'res is much better and a lot less work for me !

Maybe I have a new app but my minimum altitude is 33 Ft. I flew a mission today. Also at the end of the mission there are only 2 options, hover or go home
I failed to observe S is the same as waypoint 1.
Now I got it : at any point it will adjust the height for the flight to the next point . Thanks.
Today I had a grid search mission at 33 ft. From my launch site the drone went to the starting point at 33 ft. Probably If i had the drone at lets say 100 ft the drone would have gone to the search location at that altitude and then lower itself to 33 ft.
Because of this experience I think that in your case the drone will fly from launch site to S point at the altitude you put it or the setting between S and 2, whichever is greater.

S and launch point are not the same

"S and launch point are not the same "
Correct
Its Launch point and then "S" then Point 2

Also there are 2 ways to see Finished action, both show different Actions
If you go to HOME Screen and click on MISSION..

Photo A.jpg
You get the MISSION Window
Then click on WAYPOINT FLIGHT

Photo B.jpg

And then when that screen opens and you touch on the map
you see Finished Action as Go Home Hover

WP 1.jpg

BUT THEN !
If you open the Home Screen and Click on CAMERA..

Screenshot_20200416-134338_Autel Explorer.jpg

And click on the little"Drone" next to the Disconnected Wording

Photo C.jpg
And then you get this window
The Intelligent Flight Window
Photo D.jpg
Click on that Waypoint Square and when it Opens you go thru the windows to NEW then you get 4 options for Finished Actions

WP 3.jpg

Hope Everyone Can understand this better !

Obviously we are using different apps. In mine INTELLIGENT PHOTO does not work if the a"AIRCRAFT IS DISCONNECTED.
I do not understand why flight mission and intelligent photo are not in the same page.

Peter..
Interesting
I have two Samsung Galaxy Tabs and they both show the two different screens
Explorer App V1.0.1.43
and
Explorer App V1.0.1.45
Are you using a IPad?
Maybe the IPad is different?
