While flying my Lite Enterprise 6k yesterday, a got two message boxes on the SE Controller that I've never seen before and I don't know how I got into that mode. Two text bars appeared. One had a disk icon (save?) then said Waypoint (0) Photos (0). The second box said "Click on photo to set waypoint". When I did hit the shutter button to take a picture, sure enough, the left box changed to show one waypoint and one photo. I did not take it further with additional waypoints but I'm hoping this feature allows you to quickly set waypoints that include position, including altitude and then when more than one is added, the disk icon would let me save that mission. That would be fantastic as I've been pretty disappointed with the limited waypoint features on the Enterprise model.

So now finally to my question: How do you enter that mode? I have no idea what I did. Clicking on Waypoint in the menu bar did not close the boxes. I landed and restarted the controller, and the boxes disappeared. Clicking on Waypoint in the menu bar did not bring that mode back.

@rcee Thank you for the suggestion. I have previously studied all of the videos on that page and as far as I recall, none describe setting waypoints in the manor that appeared on my controller. I just watched the tutorial specifically about waypoints in case I'd missed it, and it does not mention that feature.

At the suggestion of customer support (thanks Raymond!) I added some more shortcuts to the tool bar to search for this function. It seems very similar to the "Rec" waypoint function, although I'm pretty sure the text boxes are in a different place. How I got into that mode since it wasn't in my tool bar and I wasn't in the menu panel, I don't know.

I've done a little preliminary testing of the Rec Waypoint mode. So far it seems pretty limited. The three missions I created were not repeatable in position accuracy enough to be useful unless you're in a very unobstructed area, but this could just be me not doing it correctly. I was also unable to edit the individual waypoints like you can with other waypoint modes I've tried, so I couldn't, for example, set the yaw to manual.

Looking forward to trying and learning more about this mode.
