Smart Controller help for the computer illiterate

Can anyone please explain (like you're talking to a 5 year old) how to get the map on the SC?

You have to change an option in settings.. I did it today. Turn off “switch to Amap map”
For me the map was in Chinese and didn’t show anything on the map so I changed the settings and it worked. I don’t know if you you are looking for the exactly the same issue.

I went into settings then general. the amap thing was already off. i turned it on then off again and it worked. Thanks!!!

Yes I did this morning.had to switch it on and off a few times,I did see the little icon at the bottom of the map screen.But after toggled it on and of it went off the screen .Turn on airplane mode also.

Toggle on and off the Chinese thing on the bottom of the map goes away.
