Do you guys know if there is way to protect our drones from anti-drone technology weapons? I was reading in the news how this technology is growing and can basically disrupt communication of our drones. Wondering if there is any technology out there that can perhaps shield our drones from it.

The way it works is, it hijacks the signal and takes control from you. Only way to prevent this would be to create an encrypted signal that can't be hacked. They still will be able to interrupt the signal, but that will only cause RTH.

I think all of this drone stuff is going to keep getting stricter and stricter just like guns. Its going to come to the point where you can only fly over your property as so many feet...which will be useless.

One of the reasons I got my licence last year was because I had been told that regulations here in Oz would likely become more restrictive. As more and more companies get involved, there will be added pressure on “our” share of the sky.

Yeah, I think eventually if you put anything in the air you will have to be ceritified. The test is like $150, hard, and only good for two years. Then you have to retake the test and pay another $150..which will only be good for another two years. Hopefully this will change and the renewal will be like drivers licenses and cheaper.

They are supposedly paying us to take it at my job..but dont know how much longer they want to do it.

Here it’s a one time fee and good for life—at least at present. That may change with new legislation still being drafted.

Maybe the guy I work with was telling me wrong. He barely passed it with a 70.
