Boy, talk about a broad based patent that is not even prototyped yet... at least it's just a concept on paper by the looks of the drawing pages (only 1).

Well they jumped on it more than likely so they can sue for patent stealing. Patent Trolls will be out for sure.

I will be surprised they will actually build anything. The patent could be worth more than product development.

What's worse, is that this person sat on the FAA UAS ID committee after filing the patent application (but before it was published)...

He is one of the people that has pushed RemoteID. Guess he created “a problem” to cash in on.

For those questioning Kenji Sugahara, he is a great person and a huge advocate for OUR industry. We are very fortunate to have him on our side of the equation.

RID is a horrible idea and I hope it fails, we do not need or want “big brother” looking at every little thing we do.

It won't fail. That'll be seen to in one way or another. Whether we like it or not, the future is more autonomous drones doing more things and most of those new drones and the laws going in place will be to benefit big business.
