dumb, what about long exposures of waterfalls, or light trails from traffic. You know ND filters are useful for photography and not just videography right? you know drones can do photos as well as video right?
so you want a 1 second long exposure in the day time of a waterfall, what do you do?

I have taken many long exposure photos of waterfalls with drones, cant do it without an ND filter in the day time, just because you don't need one, doesnt mean others don't.



you take a long exposure of the water, then you take another shot with a higher shutter speed for the ground/trees, etc that you want tack sharp. Then you combine the two in editing.

Same thing with traffic lights.
