My drone seems to be stair-stepping?

In the last few months, my EVO II PRO drone appears to move up and forward separately. It doesn't seem to take the forward and up or the forward and down inputs and execute them at the same time. It does one, then the other. Could it be an EXP mis-adjustment?

That's the first thing that came to my mind, I would try a stick calibration.

Have seen this on my Mavic Mini in the past as well as on E2P, check your settings, also try moving one stick forward 1st (e.g. slight delay of other) then the other, repeat pushing other first see if any difference.
