I notice every photo i see of the evo in a hard case or bag shows it with a battery in the drone. I have been flying a Parrot bebop2 for a few years now, ( my Evo should be here today) , and i never kept the battery in my drone when it was in its case. the one and only time i did about an hour after i got home i heard a strange noise and opened the case to find the drone turned on and over heated. That was an expensive lesson. I also read that the props will scuff the paint on the evo when folded up?...seems like keeping the battery out would prevent that problem?...

The drone comes out of the box with the battery attached. To date mine hasn't turned on by itself. The props haven't scuffed my drone on the sides. The orange top shows it's scratches from the props here and there, but they are superficial.

Yeah I was thinking of taking the battery out also. Had my drone in the case,. And in my truck, ran inside a store, and while I was there my dog stepped on top of the case and turned on my Evo. Didn't notice it untill about 20 minutes later when. I grabbed my bag to find it hot as hell, and the drone too hot to even touch. Luckily it didn't melt anything or mess up the drone at all. Definitely more careful now
