If the Explorer app doesn't prompt for firmware update, you can download it on your pc or mac and insert it into the SD card. You should be able to do the update no problem.

iOS Explorer update is at the top of their list, to get it to match the Android app. However, don't hold your breath. If you want or need flight logs, get an Android device with a compass in the interim. Once iOS Explorer supports flight logs, you can import your synced prior Android flight logs into iOS Explorer. Any current flights on iOS Explorer are lost forever, as no flight logs are being recorded at all.
