Mine holds an IPad Air-II in an aftermarket folding case without any issues.

NH Phanton, the remote controller holder can hold a device up to 7.25" wide. That'll hold any Apple device up to the 9.7" iPad Pro.

I have a pro 12.9. No way that will fit. It's over 9 wide. Will fit the pro 9.7 though
