Let's say you were hired to do a proposed job, but the job needed to be done Saturday. You are hired on a Friday. The Job requires FAA authorization as it's near, but not on a military installation. It is 100 meters or so from the boundary. There is no time to get the authorization, and it would not likely be granted based on where it is in the airspace. What would you do? Hypothetically.

It is an easy and safe mission which would have the drone in the air under 100ft for less than 20 minutes. Again, purely hypothetical, for a friend.

Of course not, that would be illegal. Almost as bad an idea as asking about on a public forum using your business name and logo to implicate your self in the matter....

The correct answer is call the airfield and make sure the class and tower times are accurate in Aloft. The Tower is closed on weekends, reverting to E. Chart supplement and Aloft don't accurately portray this, because it corresponds with an Airforce base. As long as you don't fly into the AFB, it's Class E.

Don't do it without the necessary approvals.

Sure, fly the mission; but be prepared to go to jail - HYPOTHETICALLY!

As a 107 - YOU THE PILOT know better - HYPOTHETICALLY. See far too many "take the test" 107's that are clueless. Hope your not one of those "hypothetical" pilots.
