You can use a small grinder and open the sides of your gimbal lock to allow the filter to fit. Just make sure you don't cut to much and the front falls off.

Last year I purchased this one from PolarPro, but sadly not available now. There was a few folks printing out custom parts for the XStar. Can't locate the page now.

Scott Smith has a 3D business and makes Autel parts. He has a gimbal lock thats a little different but I am not sure if it will fit over ND filters. He said he can make to order so maybe drop him a email and let him know what you want. He is pretty good at what he does and if any problems with the product he replaces the piece in question.
