This is the first time I tried this. 1.2 mile still had great video probably could have gone farther but decided that was enough tempting fate for one day.

Nice but what is with the 5.2 miles in your description?

I've flown 1.2 several times. If I have good surroundings it doesn't worry me too much. That is until the last update. Now I don't trust my drone to decide when it "needs" to come home. So I won't fly more distance than I want to walk for retrieval.

When I get time I'm going to try to deplete one of my batteries and recharge to see if it helps with the sudden power loss situation.

So far I haven't had that problem. But you noticed I flew pretty close to that road just in case she had a tantrum.

It’s scary for sure, in the mountains of my state, I have went out 1.5 but was on top of the mountain and not in valley so reception was good. I can say once I was in a valley, went around bend watching scenery and got a little to far, it went into RTH without issue and thankfully altitude was correct for setting. But for me it’s very unnerving hoping it works because If I loose reception finding it would be hard and in one piece even harder.... Orange has not let me down yet

Impressive, I’d love to try that since I have a ITELITE DBS MaxxRange Extender Antenna. I just don’t have the guts to do this over the kind of terrain I face on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is one road like that at 10,000’ on Mauna Loa, but it’s treacherous lava fields on both sides, so if there’s a hiccup, it’s aloha XSP!
