I have some filters to try but i can,t get the lens cover off. Anyone got some secrets on how to do it?
I have tried that. i just can not get it to come loose. ThanksTake a soft rubber strip 3 to 4 inches wide and 4 inches long, place on top of the lens and securely and carefully hold the gimbal then with light pressure turn the lens off.
(Use your bottom of your palm to push flat against the front of the lens with the rubber between hand and lens. The rubber will grip the lens and turn it off. Once off do not over tighten when re installing). Palm pressure tight only.
Did you ever get your lens cover off? I just bought an 8K, and I can't budge it.I have some filters to try but i can,t get the lens cover off. Anyone got some secrets on how to do it?
I have had the same problem and it almost seems as if it was cross-threaded. The only way I found to get it off was to take a single edge razor blade and position it in the crack between the lens cover and the body of the camera as if you were trying to pry it off but, while keeping pressure on it try to unscrew the cover. As the crack widens, continue to wedge the blade in between the crack to put a little pressure on pushing the lens cover off as you unscrew it.Did you ever get your lens cover off? Thank you. Another thing I'll try. Feels like they overused their Loc-tite.I have had the same problem and it almost seems as if it was cross-threaded. The lens cover on mine is always extremely difficult to remove whereas the filters I've tried have no problem. I think some of the lens covers were manufactured with the defect in the threads.
I did but extreamly difficult. Now i cant get the filter offDid you ever get your lens cover off? I just bought an 8K, and I can't budge it.
What technique finally worked for you?I did but extreamly difficult. Now i cant get the filter off
Brute force and luck. I wish it would work again on the filterWhat technique finally worked for you?
I got the filter off today. i used a piece of duck tape. What technique finally worked for you?
I'm going to remove the camera and gimbal so I can get the best possible grip and position on it. If that fails, I have someone who has had success and he is willing to look at it. Thanks for the info, though.Brute force and luck. I wish it would work again on the filter
