Anyone travel from the US to the Euro countries and did thay have any problems with the Euro flight rules or even flying with a drone to Euro? I know it's a broad question but there are things to think about, like how does the charger work with different voltages and stuff.

The European Union uses CE instead of FCC. CE's power is limited to <=20dBm. It basically means that your Evo will have less range than in the US. According to my calculations, you should get a distance from somewhere between 1,600' to 2,000'. Laws differ between countries, so you might want to look up the specific countries you are planning on visiting.

Just look up the countries you are planning to visit in the list below. They are up to date and should help you figure out if it's worth taking your drone with you on your trip or not.

As for voltage and your charger. I suggest getting something like this. It should get the job done.

20dBms , humm. is that sort of like "jigaWatts"? Just kidding.
Thanks for the info on the converters, not bad pricing either especially for the three pac. Our travels will be Italy, my wife's dream to go there and she deserves it putting up with me for 45 years. She wants to see the sites and I want to sample the wines, LOL.

Just doing google research it appears lots of things need looking into before crossing the pond.

Thanks for the info.

Yup. It means you wont reach the 88mph to travel back in time.

Italy is gorgeous. I did some backpacking back in 04'.

Hello From France
Here is the Italian site to know the places where you can fly.
Be careful the rules are very strict in Italy because there are many prohibited places like flights, national parks, villages, historical monuments ect ....
here is the link to choose, authorized places in italy ..
Be careful, you must always keep your drone in flight.
For your travel in plane, the batteries must be charged at 20% and stay with you in the cabin in bags of fire protection, max 3 battery per person.
Here are the rules to respect with a drone in France they are the same in Italy.
For the electric current no problem with the charger of the evo, it is necessary to buy a European adapter.
Good luck and have nice travell ..

Franlac,
Thank you, was hoping someone living in Euro would chime in with info. It may not be worth the trouble to take the drone with us. I was also thinking of the battery restrictions too with all the battery fires on planes.

It will be a while before we travel, maybe even next year but I like to plan ahead.

Yes take your drone with you !!
If you do not take it, you will regret it!
If you follow my advice, and if you use common sense, while respecting a few simple rules.
You will be able to please you, and offer us beautiful images ..
I flew to Italy without any problem ...
Enjoy yourself, while respecting the places where you film !
