How easy is it to upgrade or swap your camera and gimbal on the new Autel EVO II? Very easy. Here's a quick time-lapse video of the camera removal and upgrade process on the Autel EVO II, which takes about 2 minutes. In this video we upgrade the camera from a 6K Visual (Pro Camera) to an 8K + FLIR 640 Thermal (Dual Camera).

Camera/Gimbal Removal Process (installation is same steps reversed)
  1. Remove the two torx screws which hold the gimbal mounting assembly in place.
  2. Remove the two very small philips screws which hold the camera/gimbal's ribbon cable in place.
  3. Carefully release the ribbon cable from its connection by applying a small bit of pressure to the ribbon.
  4. The camera/gimbal assembly is now free to be removed.
Individual camera & gimbal assemblies for all three cameras (6K, 8K, Dual) will be available for purchase from Advexure is the coming weeks.

Safe flying!

Yes. Thats great but where can you buy an alternate camera. For photography I need a 4/3 CMOS or minimum 1" sensor
