Saw this update on the proposed ASTM standard for remote ID. It is significantly more reasonable than I had expected. Direct broadcast via wifi/Bluetooth for commercially manufactured drones like DJI, and operators of model aircraft without wifi and Bluetooth capability could just report their flight via a cell phone app similar to how LAANC works now.

So only commercial drones and not hobby drones? Something tells me we all are going to end up with these remote ids stuck into our drones.
