I've argued online with a lot of people online about the supposed drone sightings. It seems that most of the people spreading the hysteria are people wearing tin hats or people living in the stone age not having any knowledge about drones. There are some bad apples out there not following FAA rules that don't help. People are seeing drone now because the FAA now allows night flying and it is getting dark earlier.

Unfortunately these hysterical ignorant people can have a negative affect on the drone industry because some politicians and media are paying attention to them.
